Sacred Story’s Library of Inspiring Women’s Stories
Sister we are in this together. Our library contains encouraging stories from women who, like you, walk through chapters of questioning, grieving, loving, hoping, and surrendering. We pray you will pass on stories because hope is contagious. Our Teaching Moments offer perspective about living your story in light of God’s Word. We love to hear how you are impacted by what you read.

A True Friend
I am 44 years old (please don’t share that with anyone). At this point in my life I know who my true friends are, and I’m very content with the line up. It’s a small group of women for whom I would take a bullet (they’ve certainly taken some for me). I’ve lived enough...
I Call You Friend
“The Cullen’s* are going to leave your team.” I heard this message whispered to my heart while I was on medical leave almost a decade ago. My “team” referring to faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who sustained my ministry through prayer and giving was especially...
Teenagers, Mom Jeans & A Mustache
Christina's Story: People reached out to me. It started in high school. See, I was a bit of a floozy in high school. That’s a lie. I was a total floozy. Here’s the thing. We’re created to worship, and whether we worship God or goodness or fashion or Jazzercise or...
Good Grief
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven...a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..." Ecc. 4:1,4 One of the blessed byproducts of suffering is learning to grieve. In my case grieving well does not...

Pour Out Your Heart to Him
“Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:8b (NLT), italics and bold mine I stared at the hospital floor for a while. I looked up to watch the nurses try to figure out paperwork. I shook my head. What? Is this really happening? I don’t remember how...
Divorce Yourself
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Eph 4:30 NIV My catchphrase response to the word “grief” is death. I think of the deep sorrow that accompanies losing a loved one. Waves of pain that wash in and out for...
Homosexuality in Females
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) I had the wonderful opportunity of hearing Ricky Chelette, the executive director of Living Hope ministries and former homosexual, speak on the topic of homosexuality again focusing on women this...
Mourning & Dancing
A time to grieve and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4 My father who affectionately called me “La La” growing up passed away fifteen years ago after a courageous battle for over a decade with Parkinson’s disease. In my early thirties I didn’t have much exposure to...
Faith and a Flood
...Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith..." Hebrews 12:1b-2a Our house flooded in the middle of the night three days ago. Around 11:00 at night I was up with my husband looking out the window...
