Sacred Story’s Library of Inspiring Women’s Stories

Sister we are in this together. Our library contains encouraging stories from women who, like you, walk through chapters of questioning, grieving, loving, hoping, and surrendering. We pray you will pass on stories because hope is contagious. Our Teaching Moments offer perspective about living your story in light of God’s Word. We love to hear how you are impacted by what you read.

Digging up Flowers

Psalm 31:1 In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Depression chased me right into the presence of God. I wasn't even clear about what was bothering me until we had a breakfast picnic together on the floor...

Replacing Insecurity with Security

“Even if my mother and father abandon me, the Lord will take care of me.”              Psalm 27:10 A number of years ago I poured my energy and heart into multiple work projects. I felt satisfied contributing to the “internal” part of daily work and growing the...

My Baby’s Name

My Baby’s Name

Christina's* Story: I will never forget the buzz of the vacuum. Nor will I forget the insensitive nurse informing me, “this part shouldn’t hurt” as she forcefully pressed down on my abdomen while the life-sustaining water poured out, splashing on the floor. My vision...

Releasing My Daughter

Releasing My Daughter

April's* Story: We moved to Texas from a small town in the north east. It was a tough move for our four kids, especially our 17-year-old daughter Ellie. It seemed everything she tried did not work out. After trying and trying and not feeling like God was answering,...

“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”...

Partnering with God

Transformation reminds me of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. I’ve discovered the names of the four stages~ egg, larva, pupa, and adult. I love how God’s way in nature instructs us. Pause with me to ponder each of the life cycles and at the same time, to think...
