Sacred Story’s Library of Inspiring Women’s Stories
Sister we are in this together. Our library contains encouraging stories from women who, like you, walk through chapters of questioning, grieving, loving, hoping, and surrendering. We pray you will pass on stories because hope is contagious. Our Teaching Moments offer perspective about living your story in light of God’s Word. We love to hear how you are impacted by what you read.

Picture Freedom
"Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God." 1 Peter 2:16
The Sorority of the Strugglers
Studying Romans with a group of “senior saints” on Thursdays has been a great joy to me. For the first time in my 24-year career, I’ve had the flexibility to be in a women’s Bible study during the morning. In case you didn’t know, that’s where these senior saints...
The College Release of Freedom
“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:7-9 It had to be the hardest thing I’d ever done! I was saying goodbye to my daughter, Madison. She was beaming with excitement and expectation, while I was fighting...
War boots for flip flops
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Gal 5:1 NIV “A yoke of slavery” is anything in our human nature that inhibits the very presence of God from operating fully in our...
A Severe Mercy
Grace's* Story: At the age of thirty, I loved my job and my friendships. But I wanted a family, and finally that happened when I married. I was wise enough to expect challenges, but never imagined the course life would take. My husband and I were soon thrilled to...
Learning to Like My Teenager
Jasmine's* Story: I never expected to dislike my own daughter so much! She went from being my precious toddler to being a rebellious, ungrateful teenager. I could not understand what had happened to my little angel. I knew that she was growing up, but she had also...

My Journey of Freedom
“When Pharoah let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, if they face war, they may change their minds and return to Egypt.” Exodus 13:17 Growing up, I encountered a lot of fear. In my...
Divine Delays- Part 2
See message by Courtney below to read Part 1 "He has made everything beautiful in its time." Ecc. 3:11 I'm convinced that there are lessons I would have missed out on had it not been for a season of waiting. F.B. Meyer said, "What a chapter might be written of God’s...
Divine Delays- Part 1
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Ps. 62:5 (KJV) I know a little something about waiting on the Lord and I have a hunch that you do too. No matter the season of life, He seems to give us countless opportunities to wait on Him. Waiting...
Citrus and Beet Wonder-Salad!
By definition, winter is a season of waiting. However, in harsher winter climates, waiting rises to a whole new level of understanding for those in its grip. The desperate desire and longing for the sun to shine and bring the promised newness and warmth of spring...
