Sacred Story’s Library of Inspiring Women’s Stories

Sister we are in this together. Our library contains encouraging stories from women who, like you, walk through chapters of questioning, grieving, loving, hoping, and surrendering. We pray you will pass on stories because hope is contagious. Our Teaching Moments offer perspective about living your story in light of God’s Word. We love to hear how you are impacted by what you read.

Red Wine Braised Cabbage

You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.  I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.  –Psalm 4:7-8 As a trained chef, I realize that I speak two languages:  English and Food.  I hope...

Will I lose business?

Will I lose business?

Erika's Story: Around 2010 Robb and I had lived through this faith-increasing year where God was very obviously blessing us and doing things in us. This was no “dark night of the soul.”  Indeed, it was a ‘mountain top’ kind of year.  This is why it was hard to be...

Gratitude As A Weapon

At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. 2 Chronicles 20:22 Bad news, again?  What is your breaking point?  Everybody has one.  If you’re not in touch with...

When Gratitude Feels Impossible

My soul waits in silence for God only. Psalm 62:1 I have several friends who lost a parent this year. As the holidays loom, they are bracing themselves for the many “firsts”: without Mom, making the turkey, staying home instead of sleeping at her house. The ache is...

Renewing Gratitude

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” ( I Thess. 5:18, NLT) God, I need a fresh word on gratitude. After all, I’ve heard about this topic many times in my Christian life. And do believe gratitude is vital to a...

Holding My Breath

Holding My Breath

Pat's Story: It seems far away now but my story starts with a headache, a really bad headache. Then followed the doctors, the meds, the hospital, the MRIs.  Time seemed to move so very fast, and then suddenly, Easter Sunday 2005, my world screeched to a halt. We sat...
